Services that the P&A Program cannot provide

The following are examples of cases the P&A (Protection & Advocacy) Program cannot do. IMPORTANT: these limitations do NOT apply to DRC’s Disability & Aging Crime Victims Unit (DACVU), which provides advocacy and legal services to crime victims who are seniors or people with disabilities. These limitations ONLY apply to the P&A program at DRC:

Workers Compensation cases
Estate planning
Social Security eligibility or appeals
Criminal representation
Divorce cases
Will drafting
Child custody or Child In Need Of Care cases
Civil representation that does not relate to the legal or civil rights of an individual with a disability
